Did you recognize how the lens is as essential. if not more important, than your camera you are using? I use Canon models, therefore I am always looking out for the perfect Canon digital SLR lens that MY money should purchase (I haven’t got deep pockets).

When I started taking digital photos with most recent Olympus 3-megapixel compact digital camera, I became obsessed on nature pictures. I was especially beside macro and bird photography.

So now, while you pair Canon digital lens with nature, you are regarding image quality in their finest form. For some varieties of photography like family pictures or street journalism, the sharpness and detail will not be quite as important almost every nature photos.

I actually have had the occasion to “lose myself” in a “National Geographic” or “Outdoor Photographer” magazine, imagining that I was dynamics photographer who submitted the excellent photos on those pages.

Those guys and gals who teams of “National Geographic” use lenses that cost within the regarding dollars… far too costly for my meager budget.

When I say smaller budget, I am referring to, for example, a bird lens approximately 300mm f/4 with an extender. If you are shooting using a Digital Rebel or even a 60D, you’ll be able to have an efficient range of about 600mm, more or less a couple of millimeters. You can get some excellent photos with this sort of setup.

Or consider a Canon 100mm macro lens. It is an amazing lens for under $900. There are lots of examples of award winning photos with this sweet little macro lens.

The great part about the better lenses is that they are not limited to nature photography. A good long distance lens can do very well with sports like soccer and football. And a 100mm lens is perfect for portraits.

Getting a  good Canon digital SLR lens or two will give you years of gratification in your chosen hobby or profession.
